Serve With Us

Serving at Camp Linn Haven is an opportunity to live out your faith, support Christian ministry, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of campers and the surrounding community. Volunteer roles are unpaid and rooted in service, leadership, and faith formation.

Camp Counselors

Counselors are the nourishment God has provided for the growth of our campers. Each counselor is entrusted with the care of a cabin of 5–6 campers and accompanies them throughout the day—during activities, meals, devotions, and after lights out.

Counselors also help lead and support daily camp life, including art, recreation, devotions, and whole-group activities, creating an environment that is fun, engaging, and safe for all campers.

Counselor Expectations

Counselors serve campers in the following ways:

  • Socially: Love and accept children while encouraging enthusiasm and participation in all activities.
  • Emotionally: Build relationships and provide care for campers who are homesick, lonely, sad, or in need of support.
  • Physically: Enjoy the outdoors and meet the demands of a full week at camp.
  • Spiritually: Demonstrate a deep commitment to God and His Word through prayer, love, and Christ-centered leadership.

Counselor Conduct Guidelines

Because we teach by example, counselors are expected to uphold the following standards:

  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No smoking
  • No leaving camp grounds without permission from the Dean, and then only in an emergency

We thank God that you are prayerfully considering His call to serve as a camp counselor.

Application Details:

  • Counselor applications are due by April 1
  • Accepted counselors will receive a covenant to sign and an information sheet 2–3 weeks prior to arrival
